The Power of His Resurrection† By Monique Garnett Philippians 3:10: I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death. (Read full recommended verses here ) Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen ( Hebrews 11:1 ). From this passage, we understand that faith requires trust in the almighty God, who is the object of it all, as seen in scripture. Faith in God requires sharing in all aspects of His life. We also understand that this includes the power of His resurrection, sharing in His suffering, and imitating Christ in His death. The power of His resurrection is the spirit that took His dead body and brought it back to life. This is the same power that we should desire to have within us—the same power that raised Him from the dead will come into our souls and raise us up. Camp Rules

Campers are not allowed in the kitchen unless on kitchen duty. Campers may only leave the campsite with the permission of the commandant. Meals will not be reserved or put aside, please be on time for all meals. All campers must conduct themselves according to Christian principles. All campers should be dressed modestly at all times. No shorts, short skirts (no more than one (1) inch above the knees), spaghetti strap blouses, or vests are allowed in the dining area or the chapel. The camp rules and those in authority should be obeyed at all times. All misconduct will be dealt with promptly and may result in the offending camper being sent home before the end of camp.

OBJECTIVE OF CAMP Berean Youth Camp aims to provide young people with spiritual, social, educational, and physical enrichment while enjoying good food, fun, and fellowship. WHAT TO BRING Bedding : Sheets, blankets, pillow & pillowcase Toiletries : Towels, wash rag, soap, toothbrush paste, other personal items Utensils : Cup, plate, knife, fork, etc. Clothes : light sweater, shoes, umbrella or raincoat, games clothes, casual clothes for a week. General Rules The Quiz this year is a general Bible Quiz. The categories will be provided.  Prospective contestants should familiarize themselves with the competition's general rules and query the National Youth Board (Jamaica). Entry Requirements Contestants interested in participating are required to complete the entry form online. The competition is open to persons aged 16 to 35 years from all churches. Quizzers should attain the age of 16 on or before June 1, 2023, and should not attain the age of 36 years before August 1, 2023. Entries are expected by Sunday, May 21, 2023 .  All quizzers should agree to the rules of the competition.  Contestants must provide a professional-looking headshot digital photo of themselves to the competition.   The Gift By Joshua McCalla - Friday, April 7, 2023  We all have been offered a gift. We didn’t ask for it, and we didn’t work for it, but we were given it. This gift was bought the day Christ gave up His life for all of us. The gift of salvation, we didn’t ask for it, didn’t work for it, but Jesus Christ paid for it in full with the life of God’s only Son. Imagine being given a gift on your birthday and not opening it to see all it offers. If the giver of that gift were to return and still know that it has been untouched, they would question why. God doesn’t force us to accept Him; He patiently waits on us to open up and receive Him in our hearts.   Anyone who has accepted the gift of salvation has access to: His grace is forever sufficient for us. What is P.L.A.Y? P.L.A.Y is an acronym that stands for Preparing Leaders to Assist Youth. A youth seminar executed by the National Youth Board Jamaica. What is the aim of P.L.A.Y? P.L.A.Y is geared towards empowering and equipping youth leaders and potential leaders with knowledge, skills, and strategies that will help to guide and enhance their leadership in different churches. The programme is designed with informative and practical sessions, engaging discussions, and creative activities that will cater to the attendee's holistic development (mental, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual growth). When is the event held? P.L.A.Y is held annually in the first quarter.  What is the dress code? Attendees should dress casually. We recommend clothing that makes you feel comfortable as you will be sitting for most of the seminar .   Why is there a contribution associated?  Call for Nominations 2021/2022 B.Y.F Outstanding Service Awards  The National Youth Board Jamaica is pleased to announce the opening of the nomination period for the 2021/2022 B.Y.F Outstanding Service Awards. This award will be given annually to honour a B.Y.F member who epitomizes the highest level of excellence through servanthood. Leaders may suggest one or two or three persons from their branch that fits in the category.
