B.Y.F. Jamaica Fun Day General Rules

Code of Conduct

  1. Respect and Sportsmanship: All participants are expected to exhibit good behavior, respect, and sportsmanship during all events.
  2. Rule Compliance: Participants must follow the rules of each game and quiz, and behave in a respectful and sporting manner towards teammates, opposing players, officials, and spectators.

Penalties for Misconduct

  1. Damage to Equipment: Any malicious damage to sports equipment by a participant will incur a fine.
  2. Disrespectful Behavior: A participant who disrespects another during an activity will be disqualified from the current event and may face further disciplinary action.
  3. Harassment: Verbal or physical harassment of the opposing team by a participant will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team from the current event and may lead to expulsion from the Fun Day.

Decision-Making Authority

  1. Referee's Decision: The referee's, officials', and judges' decisions are final and binding.
  2. Dispute Resolution: Any concerns or disputes should be raised privately with The Sports Ombudsman, who will review the matter and provide a resolution.

Spectator Conduct

  1. Spectator Behavior: The Sports Ombudsman may issue a warning to the team captain if their spectators or players are using obscene, offensive, or insulting language and/or making obscene gestures that may insult other players.
  2. Repeated Offenses: Repeated offenses may result in further action, including disqualification of the team from the current event or expulsion from the Fun Day.

General Provisions

  1. Participation Agreement: By participating in the B.Y.F. Jamaica Fun Day, all participants agree to abide by these rules and regulations.
  2. Amendments: The organizers reserve the right to amend these rules and regulations as necessary.

Definitions

  1. Participant: Any person taking part in the B.Y.F. Jamaica Fun Day, including players, team officials, and spectators.
  2. Team: A group of participants competing together in a specific event.
  3. Event: A specific competition or activity taking place during the B.Y.F. Jamaica Fun Day
