The Power of His Resurrection† By Monique Garnett Philippians 3:10: I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death. (Read full recommended verses here ) Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen ( Hebrews 11:1 ). From this passage, we understand that faith requires trust in the almighty God, who is the object of it all, as seen in scripture. Faith in God requires sharing in all aspects of His life. We also understand that this includes the power of His resurrection, sharing in His suffering, and imitating Christ in His death. The power of His resurrection is the spirit that took His dead body and brought it back to life. This is the same power that we should desire to have within us—the same power that raised Him from the dead will come into our souls and raise us up.
