2021/2022 B.Y.F Outstanding Service Awards 

The National Youth Board Jamaica is pleased to announce the opening of the nomination period for the 2021/2022 B.Y.F Outstanding Service Awards. This award will be given annually to honour a B.Y.F member who epitomizes the highest level of excellence through servanthood.

Leaders may suggest one or two or three persons from their branch that fits in the category. Final names will be decided by the National Youth Board.  

DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS: FRIDAY, APRIL 8, 2022 @ 11:59 P.M


I.
ELIGIBILITY

A. Nominee must be most active in the church/community.

B.  Nominee must be most active in B.Y.F/Church youth activities.

C. Nominee must display strong leadership skills.

D. Nominee must be active and or present at Youth Board events: Camp, Bible Quiz, PLAY, etc.

E.   Nominee must be baptized within a Berean church branch.

II. SUBMISSION DETAILS

A. Due Date/Time: Nominations must be submitted by Friday, April 8, 2021, at 11:59PMLate submissions will not be considered.

B. Form: I. Nominations must be submitted through the electronic submission form at https://cutt.ly/dFeAe16.

C.   File Name: If using the latter in option B, the physical nomination form must be submitted using the following filename: BYF_2021/2022_B.Y.FOutstandingService Awards_(Name of Church)

IV. CRITERIA CONSIDERED BY SELECTION COMMITTEE

Criteria to be considered by the selection committee include excellence in the following areas:

A. Strong leadership skills: Leads by example; Operates with honesty & integrity; keeps commitments; behaves in a consistent manner. Mentors and develops others personally and spiritually; Encourages excellence in performance; Promotes fellowship among the youth within the church

B. Effective administration Skills:  Takes administrative actions that are guided by professional values and goals; Demonstrates great problem solving and execution skills.

C. Outstanding interpersonal communication and collegiality: Expresses oneself effectively both orally and in a written form.; Addresses issues promptly and effectively; Seeks advice from B.Y.F Leaders, considers different opinions, and demonstrates respect for others; proactively tries to build effective working relationships with other people.

The nominees and award winners will be notified individually of the decision via email by Monday, April 11, 2021.

The award recipients will be recognized at our upcoming National Convention on Sunday, April 17, 2021.
